Bring your Lamborghini to European Fix right away if you are having problems with the clutch. If you clocked 100,000 miles on the sports car, the clutch may be going bad. We can rebuild the factory clutch if the damage isn’t too bad, or we can replace the clutch if the damage is bad. In rare cases, we may be able to resolve the problem by adjusting the clutch depending on its condition.
Squishy Clutch Pedal
For example, a squishy clutch pedal is a sign that the clutch needs to be rebuilt at a minimum. Some of the internal mechanisms are wearing out and changing the resistance level the clutch gives your foot. In severe cases, the clutch will sink all the way to the floor and never hit the catch point. Unfortunately, this is a sign that the clutch needs to be replaced with a new one.
Higher Catch Point
Speaking of the catch point, it will change in your Lamborghini’s clutch if the clutch is going out. Normally, when the clutch starts to go bad, the catch point gets higher and higher. You may not notice the change at first, but you will eventually. We may be able to adjust the clutch to restore the original catch point. If not, we will have to repair the clutch or replace it.
Overheating Clutch
Your clutch will also overheat if it is slipping. You will smell the clutch getting hot when you use it. This is a sign that your Lamborghini’s clutch needs to be replaced because it is unable to stay engaged anymore. Consequently, when it isn’t engaged, you do not get a complete power transfer from the engine to the transmission. This can cause the following problems.
Problems Shifting Gears
First, you will have difficulty shifting the gears because the transmission is not in possession of the engine’s power. Aside from problems shifting the gears, the gears may also make grinding noises when you force the shift. You need the power with the transmission in order to be able to shift gears smoothly. Problems shifting gears indicate the transmission doesn’t have the power.
Hesitating Acceleration
Hesitating acceleration is also an indication that the transmission is void of power. The transmission uses the power it gets from the engine when the clutch transfers it to turn the drivetrain. Consequently, your Lamborghini will hesitate when you try to accelerate if the drivetrain is turning.
